The best of France meets the best of the U.S.A.
Established in 1938 and based in Brittany, France, Armor-Lux is known around the world for its iconic Breton stripe marinière, inspired by the official French Merchant Navy uniform. Founded in 1902 in New Haven, Connecticut, J. Press pioneered what is now known as “Ivy style” and is synonymous with classic American menswear. These two historic brands have come together to create a limited-edition capsule that brings the best of French seafaring style to New England, featuring long-sleeve and short-sleeve Breton stripe marinières, a classic canvas bleu-de-travail (the original blue chore coat), as well as canvas shorts, a relaxed twill fisherman’s pant, a striped crewneck knit, and a heritage quarter-zip. Available for a limited time only at J. Press locations and online.
