J. Press x Only NY

J. Press is a venerable institution in the city. While the business was established up the coast in New Haven, founder Jacobi Press came to New York City regularly before opening J. Press’ original New York store. Only NY is an independent lifestyle brand inspired by the city, the outdoors, and the arts since 2007. An official marquee licensee of the City of New York and the MTA for over a decade, Only NY is known for a considered and honest approach representing New York on the global stage.

This collection bridges tailored and casual through a shared appreciation for classic American sportswear. Built around the palette of the New York City flag, the capsule blends J. Press’ Ivy League tradition with Only NY’s hyper-local illustrative approach.

American-made cut-and-sew staples anchor the collection. A lightweight, unstructured blazer—crafted in New York State from a special wool-nylon ripstop—balances timeless tailoring with everyday wearability. A yarn-dyed Oxford button-down in a blue and orange stripe offers a versatile counterpart, cut from heavyweight cotton woven just for this capsule and finished with a locker loop, patch pocket, and custom Bulldog “Made in USA” hem tag.

Navy and orange also feature on a classic USA-made rugby and an intarsia knit sweater, both in 100% cotton with custom Only NY × J. Press woven labels. A vintage athletic-inspired crewneck and ringer tee introduce a more casual element, featuring Only NY’s reinterpretation of the iconic J. Press bulldog.
