The "21" Club, a former prohibition speakeasy, was one of the finest establishments in New York City. The Club opened its doors in 1922 by cousins Jack Kreindler and Charlie Berns. 21 quickly became a favorite among celebrities and housed the private wine collections of Frank Sinatra, Elizabeth Taylor, Marilyn Monroe, John F. Kennedy, and more. The Club was also the first date spot for Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart.
