In 1948 the Yale Bulldogs baseball team took home the Eastern Intercollegiate Baseball League Championship, the baseball-only Ivy League conference of the era. The squad advanced to the College World Series that year, led by captain and third-baseman (and J. Press customer), George H. W. Bush.
