Yale’s football history runs deep. Walter Camp, known as the “Father of American Football,” played and coached there, leading the team to 3 of its 27 national championships. In 1875 they kicked off their rivalry with the Harvard Crimson in “The Game,” a historic face-off they’ve repeated 141 times, with Yale leading the series 72-61-8 through the 2025 season.
This varsity cardigan pays tribute to Yale’s tradition of collegiate pride and the campus style of the 1940s and ‘50s, made with a heavyweight cotton yarn and a classic ‘Y’ chenille patch.
